Data deletion instructions

This page explains how to stop Green Light from accessing your connected accounts and how to remove data associated with your use of the Service. ChallengeSoft LLC (“we”) stores only what is needed to connect providers and show your data in the app—primarily OAuth tokens and related identifiers on the server that hosts the Service.

1. Disconnect inside Green Light (recommended)

The fastest way to revoke our access and clear stored connection data for your session is to use the in-app disconnect actions:

  • QuickBooks Online: open Dashboard and choose Disconnect. This clears QuickBooks tokens we hold and attempts to revoke the refresh token with Intuit when applicable.
  • Meta: open Settings and choose Disconnect. This removes Meta tokens stored for your connection and revokes the App’s permissions for that token with Meta when applicable.

After you disconnect, Green Light will no longer fetch new data from that provider using the credentials you removed.

2. Revoke access at the provider

You can also remove the Service from your account on the provider’s side. That ensures tokens and permissions are withdrawn even if you no longer have access to our app UI. Use the security or “Apps connected to your account” area for Intuit and Meta (Facebook) Apps and Websites (exact menus may change; search for connected applications if needed).

3. Browser data

Green Light may set short-lived cookies during the OAuth sign-in flow to protect against CSRF. Those cookies are cleared when the flow completes. You can still delete cookies and site data for our domain from your browser settings if you want to remove any residual local state.

4. If you self-host or run the app locally

Server-side tokens are stored on disk under the application directory (for example, .qbo and .meta folders relative to the deployment). Stop the app, delete those directories if present, and restart. Do not commit token files to source control.

5. Need help?

If you cannot use the app to disconnect or believe data was retained incorrectly, email team@challengesoft.tech with the provider you connected (QuickBooks, Meta, or both) and the approximate time of connection. We will confirm what we can remove on our systems and point you to provider tools where we cannot act on your behalf.
